Final Draft Plan of Study Released for Comment
U.S. Bureau of Reclamation has released for cleanup comment a final draft Plan of Study for the Rio Grande New Mexico Basin Study, Lobatos Gage to Elephant Butte Dam. The draft addresses in some detail how and with whom the three year study program will be conducted.
After a very brief comment period this draft will sent to USBR higher-ups for approval. That approval will mark the official start of the three-year study program.
The Rio Grande Basin Study: Lobatos Gage to Elephant Butte Dam (Basin Study) presents a unique opportunity to develop projections of future water supply and demand and use them to model and evaluate potential adaptation strategies that are not limited by current operating practices, infrastructure capacity, legal, and policy constraints.
