Advocacy/Interest Groups
The Middle Rio Grande Water Advocates consists of people who care about our water supply and how we use and care for it. While our values and interests are multiple, overlapping, and sometimes in conflict, most of us tend to focus our energy in particular areas.
Advocacy/Interest Groups are self-selected and convene during the annual conference to elect their representatives on the Board of Directors. To ensure a balance among these interests in our deliberations, we annually elect a Board of Directors with two representatives plus one or more alternates elected from each of six Advocacy/Interest Groups.
Over the years, each Advocacy/Interest Group has developed and refined a statement of its goals. Click here to review those statements.
